Town of Worcester Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
The Town of Worcester, in Washington County, Vermont, is seeking the services of a qualified consultant to renew Local Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Town of Worcester, population 997(2020). The plan will be submitted to FEMA for approval. The selected consultant(s) shall 1) demonstrate the ability to identify various hazard mitigation strategies that will eliminate or greatly reduce the impact of hazards that may affect the municipality and 2) have experience related to mitigation planning work.
Town of Marshfield – Emergency Watershed Program RFP
CVRPC, Project Partner for the Town of Marshfield, invite qualified firms to submit a Scope of Work and Cost Proposal to complete final designs and provide bid and construction oversight for ten pre-approved watershed protection projects.
Inquiries regarding this Request for Proposals (RFP) may be directed to Eli Toohey, Planner, Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission via email at toohey@cvregion.com. Please submit questions pertaining to this RFP to Eli Toohey in writing at toohey@cvregion.com by March 15, 2024 at 4:00 PM with the subject line “Marshfield EWP RFP Questions.” Answers to questions received by the deadline will be compiled into a single document and attached to the bid advertisement on the Vermont Bid Registry and posted to the CVRPC website. Answers will be posted on or before March 19, 2024. If changes are made to this RFP, an addendum will be issued to firms that express interest and provide CVRPC with contact information (i.e. registered vendors). An addendum will also be attached to the original advertisement on the Vermont Bid Registry and posted to the CVRPC website. Proposals are due April 5, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
Town of Middlesex Emergency Watershed Program – Engineering Services RFP
The Town of Middlesex requested Emergency Watershed Program funding to restore damage sustained by the July 2023 storms. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) awarded the town funding to support engineering final design and construction for projects at ten sites. The NRCS State Engineer completed individual Damage Survey Reports (DSR) which provide the details of a site-level investigation and the recommended measures for implementation. This RFP seeks a Professional Engineer to complete final (100%) design, bid and construction oversight for the ten projects. Funding Opportunity – Clean Water Projects
The Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission, in its role as the Clean Water Service Provider for the Winooski Basin is accepting applications to fund non-regulatory, phosphorous reduction projects in the Winooski River Basin. Projects must align with the vision set forth by Act 76, the Clean Water Service Delivery Act, and policies and guidance set forth by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation to implement the Act. The Winooski Basin Clean Water Service Provider has approximately $1,600,000 available to fund water quality improvement projects. In this project solicitation round, $750,000 will be made available to fund design- and implementation-phase projects, and $50,000 to fund project identification and development activities. Seeking Planning Technicians
We’re looking for two seasonal planning technicians ($18/HR) to assist us primarily with field work data collection. These positions will play an active role in our transportation field work program. Opportunity to work on and support regional, local energy, natural resource, and local hazard mitigation plans as they present themselves.
