Town Meeting Funding Requests

Non-profit organizations seeking placement on the Town Meeting ballot for funding request must follow the policies and procedures as adopted by Council.  If an organization received voter approval for funding in the previous year, they must submit a funding request application for a level funding request to be placed on the following year's ballot.  If an organization did not receive voter approval the previous year, or is making a new request or asking for an increase, they must file a petition requesting placement on the ballot.  The petition must be signed by at least 10% of the Barre City registered voters.  Contact the clerk's office at 476-0242 for an up-to-date voter checklist total.
