10/13/2023 - The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance has been extended to 10/31/2023. We encourage residents to apply for assistance. For help with this process, visit the FEMA Recovery Center on the 3rd floor of Alumni Hall.
9/21/2023 - FEMA is requesting information from owners of multi-family properties that can be repaired to local, state and federal standards and be offered as temporary housing to survivors of the July floods. 7/28/2023 - FEMA Disaster Recovery Center launched at the Auditorium. Need help with your recovery process? Go see FEMA at the Auditorium. The Center is open 7 days a week 8:00AM to 7:00PM.

7/16/2023 - Street Closure Update: On Monday, July 17, Washington Street will be closed from W Patterson to the City line for a storm drain culvert replacement. The road will be closed to all traffic from 6:00AM until the work is completed. Work on the site is expected to last most of the day.
7/15/2023 - Municipal Pool Reopened -- We are laser focused on recovery, but we also need to get back to a semblance of normalcy. We will reopen the Barre City Municipal Pool tomorrow for normal Saturday hours (12:30 - 5:00PM). There will be NO CHARGE for admission. We're in this for the long haul, but if you are in a position to take a recovery day tomorrow, come see us at the Pool.
